You take something that's whole and break it up,
And share the pieces out between them all,
But then they howl like wolves inside a cup,
And you brick yourself up inside a wall.
You did not mean to displease anyone,
You did not think sharing an evil deed,
But now it seems a new age has begun,
Where nothing counts except the power of need.
And so you give and give as you once gave,
And repetition keeps you safe and warm
But none of them will take the time to save,
The power they had to make you conform.
At first your letter seemed like it was nice,
But then I took some time and read it twice.
