I've greeted this day with a great big smile
With cheery good "Good morning!"s to you all
I've had a lovely day so far and while
I'm up I think that I will never fall.
The sun is shining and the sky is blue
The weather's perfect for this time of year
The only problem is I'm far from you
The world would be more brilliant were you here.
I wish that I could be with you right now
But time will pass and you will come back soon
I'd like to tell the world exactly how
My life with you's more precious than the moon.
Today has been the first in many days
To pass inside a gentle happy haze.
